It all started in Philadelphia, PA. – the city of brotherly love. 1975 was just over half way through, and I was born on a humid day of about 68 degrees. I guess I was one of those annoying early babies – I think I was born at about 3am.
I spent most of my early life up and down the east coast, son of an engineer who worked for a variety of places, early on, like Reeces, and eventually honed his engineering skills, and worked for companies like TRW, and Howmet, which brought us out to Michigan.
I did some more growing in Michigan, Philadelphia again, then back to Michigan, where I graduated from High School.
When I was 12 I began to play guitar, and around that same time I learned about meditation, and mindfulness.
My Mom was the coolest geek around, and she and I would sit up late at night and write programs on my TRS-80 color computer II – which didn’t have a monitor – it was hooked to the tv, and stored its programs on a cassette tape.
From there I continued to meditate, play music and got into many more programming languages, became a programmer, worked at a bunch of different places in that capacity, and moved up into management, and finally to a director role, where I am now.
Music can be complex. Programming can be complex. Life can be tediously complex. And it’s just been in the past few years that I’ve realized that life really can be simplified at virtually no cost to productivity or sense of self. That might be what this site ends up being about. It might not too.
It might just be about my wanderings and musings. When I find out for sure, I’ll come back and edit this page.
